Adrian Hunn appointed Swiss Medtech Managing Director

New operational lead at the Swiss medical technology association

Swiss Medtech’s Board of Directors has appointed Adrian Hunn as the new Managing Director, succeeding Peter Biedermann who stepped down from the post in November 2023. Adrian Hunn studied social sciences in Fribourg, holds a postgraduate Master of Business Administration, and has been active in the medtech industry and related sectors for sixteen years. In addition to working for international medtech groups such as Sonova, Adrian Hunn has also gained experience in medtech start-ups, including Dentalpoint where he successfully guided future growth strategy in his role as CEO. His fascination with Switzerland’s commitment to quality and precision aligns perfectly with industry objectives. «I see significant opportunities for the Swiss medtech industry if it consistently streamlines core processes for effectiveness and efficiency,» says Adrian Hunn, for whom the digitalisation of process optimisation is an absolute must.

«The Swiss medtech sector lies close to my heart and I feel at home here. I am driven by engaging in a highly innovative and economically significant industry which also helps people achieve the best possible levels of health. I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their trust and look forward to working with member companies, the Board, executive management, and the extended team.», says Adrian Hunn.

Damian Müller, designated President of Swiss Medtech who lead the recruitment process, is convinced «In Adrian Hunn, we are appointing a strong leader with close ties to the industry. He will position Swiss Medtech as a driver of business and innovation». His proven track record in the medtech sector, his management experience, his interest in economic policy issues, and his passion for Switzerland as an important location for the sector all underscore the wisdom of the choice.

Swiss Medtech represents around 800 members in its role as industry association for Swiss medical technology.
